PB&Journaled Series

You guys! So while this post is well overdue, (because the PB&Journaled series has been up and running for a couple weeks now) I wanted to share this neat project with you here on the blog!

So, If you haven’t seen the paper bag journal tutorial yet, check out the video below:

Easy peasy right? Can I share a secret with you? I created this journal as a way to play on pages that didn’t stress me out. Sometimes when I work in a store bought journal, I panic. What if I ruin the page?¬† This journal cost me money, what If I make ugly art? Cue the panic. Laugh, you can totally laugh because I am sitting laughing at myself. It’s silly, but hey I am who I am! *Wink

So, I made the journal. I thought people might check out the video and be like, “oh, that’s nice.” and move on, but what happened next blew my mind! The PBJournal blew up! People started creating amazing journals and tagging me on Instagram! I was so excited! I shared all the journal tags on my instagram stories, which as you know only last 24 hours so I created a story highlight on my profile called PBJ Inspiration. You can head on over there and see all the journals people have created or search the #pbjournaled tag. Find the inspiration you need to get yourself into your art space and creating!

The PB&Journaled series runs every Tuesday over on YouTube so be sure to check it out! And if you create a journal- make sure you tag me so I can share your creation with everyone!

Thank you again for all your love and journal creations! Truly blown away by you all!

Mad loves and happy creating!

Brayered Paint Halloween Cards

Hello My Creative Peeps!

This week I was crazy busy. I have so much to get done before the Happily We Go store launches and October is my busiest month as I have four of my five children’s birthdays to celebrate! Buuuuut, I am hoping to still find a wee bit of crafting time each week, mainly for my own sanity! (LOL)

For this week’s Inspiby, we were inspired by the gorgeous layout from Wilna. I didn’t feel like I had as much time this week to devote to a journaling layout but knew I could use the same techniques that she showed us in her video to create some Halloween cards. Hey, If there is a way for me to kill two birds with one stone, I’m going to do it! *wink

Here’s how I created the card:
