Happy Monday Y’all! The holidays are official kicked into high gear! I don’t know about you but its a stress mess time of year, but taking those couple minutes to force myself into the studio to create helps alleviate some of that feeling. I wanted to finish of the Inspiby year with some holiday prompts, so for our second holiday prompt I am bringing back an artist that we have previously featured. Say Hi again to Nika Rouss! It’s hard not to want to choose her every week as her art journal pages are all so inspiring! Continue reading “Inspired By Week 27 Prompt”

Hello My Creative Peeps!
It’s week 19 (already) and this week it was Karen’s choice. Here’s what she had to say about her pick:
Thanks Karen! Wasn’t that a great video! Now, I know what you are thinking… Gelli Plate.. yeesh. I admit I am both nervous and excited about it as well! I can’t wait to see how Lisa’s video inspires you this week. Don’t forget to give her video a ‘thumbs up’ and also subscribe to her channel 😉 Be sure to also check out Lisa on the links below and show her some love!
As always, You have until Sunday midnight (whatever your time zone is) to post pictures of your creations to Instagram using the #inspiby tag. You can either recreate Lisa’s layout (please be sure to give her credit if you do) or just use it as inspiration when creating your own! Karen and I would love you to tag us as well! We look forward to seeing what you all create each week!
Have Fun and Happy Creating!
XO-Erin & Karen too!
Hello My Artsy Friends!
Can you believe that September is already at its end? Fall is here! Hooray! (Well, OK, it’s not exactly here in Texas yet, but hoping cooler temperatures are on the way!) So for week 18, I searched long and hard for something fun, painty and had some white space. I don’t know about you, but I struggle with white space! I see all this space and think, “Color, there must be color everywhere.” I found the perfect layout when I saw ‘Feather Art Journal #26’ by Wilna Furstenberg. She created this journal layout in a series of 4 layouts featuring exactly the same pieces, just different colors, and configurations. (If you have the time, check out the other videos in the series. They are truly inspiring as well and what an awesome way to play in your journal!)
Wasn’t that just fabulous? I’m super excited to brayer, drop and doodle with paint! Wilna does such a fabulous job explaining how to do each step. If you don’t have a brayer, I’m willing to bet using the side of an old gift card to swipe on the paint would work. Remember not to get too caught up in doing exactly what Wilna does, but listen to your guts and go with your creative flow! Have faith in yourself and the courage to push beyond what you think your limitations are. You just might surprise yourself!
Be sure to check out Wilna on her links below and show her some love!

Remember you have until Sunday midnight (whatever your time zone is) to post your art journal layout, or whatever it is you were inspired to create this week, to Instagram using the #inspiby tag. Be sure to tag me (and Karen too) in your posts as we love seeing what you create each week! I can’t wait to get into the studio and get inky!
