Hello All and Happy Sunday!
This week, I decided to take a different approach to the Inspired by challenge. I recently acquired these awesome dies from Tim Holtz and seeing as the prompt this week was a spooky one, I thought why not make up some Halloween cards using the art journal techniques from this week. Check out my video below!
To make the cards I used:

Dylusions Ink Sprays: Tangerine Dream, Lemon Zest, Fresh Lime, After Midnight, Pure Sunshine

Hello My Artsy Peeps!
So for the challenge this week I thought I would mix it up a bit! I had wanted to make another little mini book for myself to play with my watercolors, so why not combine the two! I decided to create my cover for the challenge. Check out my process video:
While the cover didn’t turn out exactly as I’d hoped, I still think it’s fun and will work for what I created it for, to play in! Here’s what I used to create the cover:
Ink Sprays: Lindy’s Stamp Gang- Titl a wheel Teal, Creme Brulee Creme
Dylusions-White Linen, Tangerine Dream, Funky Fuschia
irRESISTible Neons- Orange, Yello, Green
Faber Castell Big Brush Markers: Black 199 and Pitt Brush in Black
Sharpie Black Fine Point Pen
Uniball Signo White Gel Pen
Golden Heavy Body Acrylic: Titanium White
Art Alchemy Impasto Paint: Lemon Peel
Stencil: The Crafter’s Workshop TCW 493S
Stamp: Simon Says Stamp- Circle Doodle Background
Tim Holtz Sentiment Stickers
Scrap Paper & Paper Doily
Daniel Smith Watercolor- Moonglow
Collage Papers: Joggles- Deep In The Forest 2, The Paper Studio-Map/Script Decoupage paper
Archival Ink Pad- Jet Black
I hope you were inspired to create something fun this week as well!
This week’s challenge was so much fun! I don’t know about y’all but I enjoyed getting messy with this layout! Continue reading “‘Let Go’”
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for this week’s challenge layout, however, I knew that I wanted to incorporate both bright colors and also a butterfly. I have this fabulous ginormous swallowtail butterfly stamp from Stampin’ Up that I wanted to put onto the layout. With those ideas in mind, I set off into the craft room to create. I really enjoyed the Inspiby this week. It was a busy week for me as our company arrived and of course, the house needed cleaning in preparation. This week was definitely a lesson in letting go of perfection. Not only with my house preparations but also with my art. It seemed like every time I turned to grab something, I smeared some pen lines or I messed up while trying to stamp a layer.
